STA Application 1102-EX-ST-2018 Frequency Coordination Exhibit and Narrative Brooklyn, New York ABB FIA Formula E Championship Automobile Race July 9, 2018 through July 15, 2018 This application proposes the use of additional radio spectrum for microwave video production in the Brooklyn, New York area. This will be terrestrial only video production during the ABB FIA Formula E Championship automobile race events and for testing prior to the event within and immediately surrounding the race track which has been created at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn, New York. The ABB FIA Formula E Championship is the world’s first fully-electric international single-seater street racing series. This is one of the two largest annual international automobile racing events in the United States and as the event is in the New York metropolitan area, broadcast auxiliary bands are extremely crowded at all times. Therefore, this unusual request for extremely low- power, short distance transmission path operation at 100 mW should not cause interference to any licensed user. However, should any FCC-licensed or United States government station report interference during the proposed operations, operation on that channel will immediately cease and not resume unless and until the interference complaint is resolved. However, there are on-site coordinators for this event who are charged with interference avoidance and mitigation.
