Actually it is not possible for MRTC to notch the entire band 161-173 MHz from the STA. The reason is
that there are dozens of channels in this band that are programmed into the race cars when they come
from Europe for various race teams. As mentioned to Mr. Anthony Asongwed in response to his July 17
e-mail request for the number of discrete channels in the band 162-174 MHz

"The channels we need for the European race teams for this large-scale car racing event in the two
bands you mention are as follows:

162-174 MHz (12.5 kHz channel bandwidths) : 56 (portables and mobiles)..."

There are at least 26 race teams with cars using channels in the band. If a complete list on a
channel-by-channel basis is necessary I can provide it, but the reason for specifying the entire segment is
that there will be on-site coordination and any channels exhibiting activity in response to ongoing
continuous monitoring of channels with a high location antenna above the race track will not be used.
