Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This application proposes testing of an automobile race team operations communications system for voice and telemetry communications between crew and race vehicles at various Motorsports Raceways between May and October of 2014. An STA is necessary because the system uses land mobile radio equipment that is not licenseable in the United States at the moment due to frequency ranges, and it is new technology under development.
