File No. 0057-EX-ST-2017

PURPOSE OF STA AND FREQUENCY COORDINATION

The purpose of this STA is to further test an automobile racing communications system for voice
transmissions that is in the developmental stage. The tests will occur at one race session at the
Daytona Motorsports Raceway in Daytona, Florida during January 26-29, 2017 during an actual
racing event. The system will be deployed by the Mercedes race team. The race team will use
the communications system on a developmental testing basis on behalf of and overseen by
MRTC Motorsport Communications.

The dates during 2017 when this system will be deployed are January 26-29, 2017 inclusive.

The applicant requires a series of 12.5 kHz channel bandwidth frequency paired channels as
specified in this application in the VHF range for duplex voice transmissions.

The applicant has consulted the ULS database with respect to the VHF channel ranges sought
and proposes what are believed to be unoccupied channels in the area of the Daytona
International Speedway.

The “stop buzzer” contact on site on behalf of the applicant is Mr. Chris Lee of MRTC, whose
mobile number is +44 07920 130 453. If a United States cellular number is required, undersigned
counsel will also serve as a stop buzzer contact, at (301) 351-3795. All operation will cease on
any channel after a report of harmful interference and will not resume unless and until the
complaint is resolved to the satisfaction of the complainant.
