Luminate Wireless is an early­stage cellular systems company headquartered at 20823 Stevens Creek Blvd. Suite 300, Cupertino CA 95014. Luminate Wireless intends to develop cellular networking technology, including LTE “small­cell” base stations. These are access­point­class LTE base stations that typically do not radiate more than 250 mW and have the same form factor as a WiFi access point. Our product development plans will require us to install and operate an over­the­air test network of prototype LTE small­cell access points and commercially certified cellular devices at our headquarters facility. Luminate Wireless would like to respectfully apply for an FCC Experimental License in order to perform R&D activities as part of product development. We anticipate that a 24­month initial license will be sufficient to meet our product development goals. Following the grant of the license, Luminate Wireless will naturally coordinate directly with the spectrum license owners. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you should have any questions.
