Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Lockheed Martin Corporation seeks authority to conduct unmanned aircraft (UAS) operations in connection with a United States Special Operations Command (SOCom) Technical Experimentation to be conducted to identify potential Technology Readiness Level (TRL) solutions, impacts, limitations, and utilities in support of Special Operations Forces missions. The operations will be conducted in and around Avon Park, FL.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The equipment identified in the instant Special Temporary Authority supports command and control operations of the Lockheed Martin UAS platform that will be under demonstration at the SOCom Technical Experimentation.
