Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Lockheed Martin Corporation requires authority to conduct short-term testing at its Ft. Worth facility to validate the integrity of a radio component within a developmental Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP) technology prior to delivery to Edwards AFB for full-time testing. The duration of this one-time proposed testing makes an STA most suitable for the operations.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Applicant proposes to conduct over-the-air, ground testing of the integrated CMDL radio. While Lockheed Martin is requesting authority for several days, actual testing will be limited to short duration (approximately one hour) over the course of a few days. Operations are being conducted in preparation for upcoming U.S. Government contract obligations.
