Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
STA required to conduct performance testing of an L3Harris transponder at Yuma Proving Grounds. This request is being filed pursuant to a late request from the frequency manager of the Yuma Proving Grounds who has requested FCC STA for the communications gear interfacing with transponder

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Testing performance of L3Harris transponder and RF-7800-W-OU47X/OU50X (military designation - J/F 12: 9357) at Yuma Proving Grounds. FCC has previously granted STA for transponder that will be operating at 465.55MHz under File #0134-EX-ST-2020. Radio will be operating at 4.665GHz. Said equipment will be used at altitude of 18,000’ and only during the exercise.
