Subject: Re: testing on freq's 476 to 499Mhz

Dear Gary,

As we discussed on the telephone today, the following TV channels in the band you requested
are used as follows:
TV Channel 14 470-476 MHz is used by KDTV transmitting from Mount San Bruno and is not
available for other purposes in this area.
TV Channel 15 476-482 MHz is not used in this area and may be used for your project.
TV Channels 16 and 17 482-496 MHz has been allocated by the FCC to Part 90 Public Safety in
this area and is not available for other purposes in this area. Because it is no longer considered
to be Part 74 Broadcast Auxiliary Services we don’t have coordination responsibility but we
recommend not using this band due to potential interference to Public Safety communications.
TV Channel 18 494-500 MHz is used by KCSO-DTV in Modesto and is far enough away that it
may be used for your project.
We understand that your transmit power will not exceed 1 Watt or +30 dBm.
There is a list of TV channels in the San Francisco Bay Area at www.lns.com/sbe.
Please let me know if we can provide any other frequency coordination for your project.

Thank you for taking the time to explain the coordination of the above
listed frequencies. The FCC requested that I get prior coordination with
SBE to ensure there is no interference. According to SBE, you are the
frequency coordinator for the SF bay area.
Again, it was a pleasure talking with you and hearing about your father and
the test facility he was involved in. For your information Bill Gates
retired from Randtron Systems late last year. Have a good day.

    Thank You
