The purpose of this application is to access a wide range of frequencies in the HF spectrum in order to
calibrate detection/direction finding (DF) system(s) on DoD Intelligence/Surveillance/Reconnaissance
(ISR) airborne aircraft.
An existing/registered antenna will be utilized to stream a carrier signal via these frequencies to the
aircraft in flight at various distances and altitudes from the antenna while the aircraft is being tracked on
radar to determine (1) if the signal(s) can be detected and (2) if detected can be DF'd to within several
meters of the source. Dwell time on any given frequency is 26ms. The only time testing is required is post
installation of system(s) or to verify upgrades to same.

Calibration of thse systems is critical to pre deployment of these aircraft into the theater(s) of operation.
Effort supports
US war on terrorism.
