Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
To demonstrate wireless technolgies for ground to air communications for the Department of Defense.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To demonstrate wireless technolgies for ground to air communications. Demonstrations will take place at the North Texas Regional Airport thru October 1st, 2009. Demonstrations will involve a fixed station communicating to an un-manned air vehicle. These new site demonstrations will take place at military air bases at Cairns Army Airfield & Redstone Army Airfield.
