Please explain the purpose of operation:
To test signal that will aid installation and alignment of a directional antenna on an aircraft. A low-power test signal (tone at nominal frequency 14.78 GHz), transmitted from a known, remote location, facilitates precise antenna boresight alignment during installation of a data link terminal onboard an aircraft. This provides accurate antenna pointing during later experimentation in government test program.
