470kHz Goals for John Parmalee
To explore characteristic of the 470 kHz spectrum looking at methods of generation and modulation of
carriers, receiving of weak signals well as antennas, tuning and matching techniques. The creation of
Transmitters and receivers, pre amps and power amps ,coils, capacitors and other components to be
included in tuning and matching units will be a part of this project. Digital techniques will be used.

As a second part of this project propagation will be studied using advanced digital programs.

John Parmalee has many years of experience in commercial communication having worked in parts 22,
73, 90 as well as a part 97 Holder of an Amateur Extra license and a FCC First Class Phone license with a
Radar endorsement.
