Exhibit for Form 442, Question 6.

Description of Research Project.

Applicant is asking for an experimental license for the frequency allocation and launch of two swarms of
50 technically identical femto space station satellites, each with a mass of less than 100 grams and a
length greater than 50mm in any axis, as technology demonstrators for future swarms of satellites to
conduct university and high school science experiments. Each swarm will be comprised of 25 satellites.

The transmission of data back to receiving stations on the ground will utilize the standard, off the shelf
hardware: Radiometrix LMT2 transmitter, transmitting at a frequency of approximately 405MHz, at less
than 100mW. Specific frequency is not defined, and can be easily changed to meet the requirements of
the FCC and spectrum managers.

The spacecraft will operate less than 96 hours before completely draining the battery and becoming
permanently disabled. There are no solar panels on the spacecraft.

With the assistance of a deployable drag device, the spacecraft will deorbit in approximately 30 days,
leaving no debris in space.

The experimental license is requested in order to demonstrate all the appropriate technologies on the
spacecraft, prior to the application of a permanent commercial license and its attending expense in time
and money.
