Duration of experiment:         January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019 (1 year)


Description of experiment:

A beacon shall be deployed on the 2200m amateur band. Equivalent Isotropically Radiated Power (EIRP)
of the beacon shall be in accordance with FCC amateur regulations and shall be < 1.0 Watt (<30 dBm).

The duration of the beacon shall be < 2.0 minutes, will be retransmitted every 10 minutes, and shall be
in the 4-FSK modulation digital mode and shall conform to the Weak Signal Propagation Reporter
(WSPR) protocol. The beacon will contain the call sign and location of the experiment operator and the
transmission power in dBm (WQ2H FN32 30).

The purpose of the beacon is to evaluate, and publish, 2200m propagation data to assist in establishing
opportune times to attempt 2-way contacts in the 136 kHz region of the band.
