Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The equipment being demostrated at the Intel Developers Forum operate in the 3485.5MHz to 3585.5 MHz band used for fixed wireless communications in Europe and elsewhere. These frequencies are not deployed for this purpose in the United States. The equipment being demonstrated will be sold for use exclusively outside the United States. It is necessary to perform over the air tests to confirm product compliance to specifications and to the requirements of the WiMax standard.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Demonstrating the new WiMax 802.16 radio chip set at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco, CA at the Moscone Convention Center. Intel will be positioning its technology leadership by providing a WiMAX demonstration at the Intel Developers Forum. This demonstration will be using the newly introduced ProWireless 5116 mac/phy silicon device being used by both Redline Communication and Alvarion with an interactive gaming experience. Demonstration will be conducted indoors only with 100 meter of unit separation. Intel Developer Forum (March 1-3, 2005) is the technology industrys premier event for hardware and software developers. Held worldwide throughout the year, IDF brings together key industry players to discuss cutting-edge technology and products for PCs, servers, communications equipment and handheld clients. Intel wishes to show the industry its’ commitment in delivering standards based 802.16 technology. This will be done thru courses as well as live demonstrations.
