The purpose of the experiment is to conduct civilian GPS system performance evaluation (L1 signal only) inside of a radio-frequency shielded facility. The measurements will track the carrier to noise ratio, time to first fix, and SV number. The two shielded facilities employed will be a fully anechoic chamber and a shielded box (such as a Faraday cage). At all times the re-radiating antenna will remain inside the shielded facility, ensuring that the re-radiated GPS signal will cause no interference to any users of the GPS navigation system.
