In the United States, Inmarsat services are provided through a number of distribution partners (DPs),
which sell those services directly to consumers. In order to ensure that the IsatPhone Pro functions as
intended, Inmarsat's experimental program will include testing in collaboration with those DPs. Inmarsat
expects that this program will include initial testing of the IsatPhone Pro at various fixed locations, which
cannot be specified at this time. In addition, Inmarsat expects that this program will include extensive
testing of
the mobile operation of the IsatPhone Pro throughout the intended service area(s) of each DP, to ensure
proper integration of the IsatPhone Pro with the mobile service platform(s) maintained by each DP.
Accordingly, Inmarsat is requesting permanent authority to test the IsatPhone Pro on a nationwide basis.
