Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
As detailed in paragraph below, Information Systems Laboratory (ISL) seeks this STA in order to allow testing and technical demonstrations of this Radar system for fixed surveillance system based on commercial-off-the-shelf marine radar (Furuno) Ground Surveillance radar System.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To research, develop and demonstrate a fixed surveillance radar system based on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Marine radar (Furuno) Ground Surveillance. To research, develop and demonstrate a fixed surveillance radar system based on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Marine radar (Furuno) Ground Surveillance ISL desires to use the unit for high resolution and probability of target detection. The FCC Type Acceptance from the unit manufacturer (Furuno) is attached to this application.
