N UNDER PART—5 OF FCC RULES lTowa State University in co—operation with lowa Satellite Company (a non—profit corporation) is planning to build and launch a small experimental low—earth—orbit satellite. The purpose is to provide & pace—borne platform for conducting different space related experiments. Enclosed are four sets of applications (FCC Form 442) for the authorization of radio link between satellite and ground. Two applications (1B & 2B) correspond to two separate transmitters on—board satellite. Application—1A is for uplink transmitter located at the Ground Control Center while the fourth application (2A) is a collective application for multiple Ground Transponders. Since we are not professionals in this area, there might be something lacking in our applications.
