Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
HENSOLDT has been invited to demonstrate the SPEXER 2000 3D MKII to the US Navy and Marine Corps during the 2021 Advanced Naval Technologies Exercise at Camp Lejeune (Onslow Beach), NC during 5-16 April 2021 and to the Department of Homeland Security during 17-30 April. SPEXER 2000 3D MKII is a mature radar system, designed and manufactured in Germany and employed to locations around the world. HENSOLDT intends to conduct operational testing at the sites listed in this application before the demonstration periods begin starting around 15 MAR 2021.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Setup, test, operate and demonstrate the Hensoldt SPEXER 2000 3D MK II radar system. HENSOLDT Inc. is temporarily importing qty 1 SPEXER 2000 Mk2 radar system. The requested STA will be used to setup, test, operate and demonstrate the Hensoldt SPEXER 2000 3D MK II radar system to USN/USMC officials and for evaluation by the DHS, CBP, other US Government agencies in support of ground based surveillance programs.
