HARRIS CORPORATION EXPERIMENTAL STA APPLICATION EXTENSION REQUEST FILE NO. 1855-EX-ST-2018 EXHIBIT 1 - DESCRIPTION OF EXPERIMENT Harris Corporation ("Harris") hereby requests a short term extension of the experimental Special Temporary Authority (“STA”) previously granted under File No. 1357-EX-ST-2018 for a one month period to perform demonstrations in conjunction with the United States Air Force (“USAF”). This STA extension request only includes Andrews AFB and does not include the previously authorized Rochester, NY and Englewood, CO locations. Harris regrets the short notice of this extension request but notes that a request was received from the USAF on October 26, 2018 to conduct demonstrations at Andrews AFB in November. Usage on the frequencies requested herein have been successfully coordinated with the Military Advisory Group “MAG” which concurred to said frequency usage on October 29, 2018. William R. All experimental testing will be conducted in conjunction with the development of equipment utilized by US Military forces. Accordingly, the applicable POC/Contract information is provided below. All network traffic will be simulated traffic only, solely for evaluation purposes and not for the purpose of providing network data communications services to user stations. Harris submits that a grant of this STA request is necessary and in the public interest because it will advance national security efforts by contributing and assisting in the further development of communications equipment utilized by the U.S. Armed Forces.
