License — RAILS (Radar Assisted Instrument Landing System) Dear OET: We are requesting a new conventional experimental license for our RAILS testing. The testing will be done at either of our two test locations: Harris Radar Plant, 7821 Orion Avenue, Van Nuys, CA or Van Nuys Airport, 16461 Sherman Way, Van Nuys, CA. The Frequency data is as follows: Instrument Landing Paired Frequencies — localizer M110.15 and Glideslope M334.25 20W maximum output power/ERP power, 5.0 dBi antenna gain, We are fully aware that any testing needs to be coordinated with the FAA Western Area Frequency Coordinator prior to any radiating. Harris will honor all conditions that may be necessary to preventinterference with any existing equipment and are willing to schedule the hours of operation to take place during times of least air traffic in the vicinity.
