HARRIS CORPORATION EXPERIMENTAL STA APPLICATION FILE NO. 0265-EX-ST-2018 EXHIBIT 1 - DESCRIPTION OF EXPERIMENT Harris Corporation ("Harris") hereby requests experimental Special Temporary Authority (“STA”) to perform critical testing, demonstration, and experiments in conjunction with the United States Air Force in March 2018. Usage on the frequencies requested herein have been successfully coordinated with the Military Advisory Group which concurred to said frequency usage on February 17, 2018. William R. Accordingly, the applicable POC/Contract information is provided below. Applicable Government Contract(s) and POC: ROBERT "BRUSH" MOORE, Maj, USAF SAF/CIO A6CW Chief, Airborne Warfighter Integration 1800 Air Force Pentagon, Rm 4D755 Washington DC 20330-1800 DSN: 312-225-6699 COMM: 703-695-6699 CELL: 516-353-1423 Contracts: H92222-12-D-0001, H92222-15-D-0031, & H92222-17-D-0021 Because the equipment is technically incapable of providing station identification, Harris respectfully requests a waiver of the station identification provisions of Section 5.115 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. § 5.115. All network traffic will be simulated traffic only, solely for evaluation purposes and not for the purpose of providing network data communications services to user stations. Harris submits that a grant of this STA request is necessary and in the public interest because it will advance national security efforts by contributing and assisting in the further development of communications equipment utilized by the U.S. Armed Forces.
