Dear Mr. Young:

This note responds to your Request for Info -- STA File No. 0287-EX-ST-2008, dated May 29, 2008 (Ref.
No. 6470), that was addressed to Mr. Steven Doiron. In that request, you asked the HNS License Sub,
LLC (the applicant) to provide information on the status of the September 2007 transfer of control
application that Hughes Communications, Inc. (Hughes), of which the applicant is a wholly-owned indirect
subsidiary, then had pending with the International Bureau.

HNS License Sub can now report that the Hughes transfer application in File No.
SAT-T/C-20070904-00119 was granted on June 12, 2008. See Public Notice, Policy Branch Information,
Report No. SAT-00530 (released June 13, 2008). HNS License Sub's STA request in File No.
0287-EX-ST-2008 relates to an underlying transfer of control application for Experimental Radio Service
License WD2XFP that is substantively identical in terms of ultimate ownership and control to the
International Bureau transfer of control application for Hughes that has now been granted. See File No.
0023-EX-TU-2007.
