Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
We will be performing short term radiated susceptibility testing on board a Bombardier Challenger executive jet aircraft while on the ground at Outagamie County Regional Airport, Appleton,Wisconsin. The testing will be to IEEE 802.11a/b/g format at an elevated transmitter power level.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Verify (FAA) compliance to non-interference with the on-board navigation and communications systems. This testing is to verify that an IEEE 802.11a/b/g/ wireless computer access point can be safely operated on-board this category of aircraft without producing inteference to the aircraft systems critical to safety of operation. The testing will be done with an EIRP between 4 and 6 watts, on 2.418GHz to 2.4835GHz, 5.25GHz to 5.35GHz, and 5.725GHz to 5.825GHz frequency bands per IEEE 802.11a/b/g format. The FAA has approved an Issue Paper requiring testing at these elevated power levels.
