0747-EX-PL-2015 Protest Google Project Loon This letter serves to also voice my protest against the Google ‘Project Loon’ plans to provide Wi-Fi access from the sky via balloons. I also suffer from ‘Hyper Electro Sensitivity’ disorder (or EHS) which is akin to ‘Microwave Sickness’ something Radar operators as early as the 1950s became afflicted with due to their constant exposure to high levels of microwave radiation from Radio Frequencies or ‘RF’s, the same kinds of frequencies and radiation emitted by today’s wireless devices and relay antennae stations for said devices. When exposed to cell towers and Wi-Fi routers, I also suffer from symptoms including tinnitus, headaches, dizziness, brain fog, disorientation, chest pain and nausea. Most EHS sufferers also have MCS (as I also do), Multiple Chemical Sensitivity disorder. So finding safe housing is already extra challenging when you have to consider finding housing free from molds and chemicals that also trigger severe allergic reactions. To have to consider EMFs, especially in the form of RFs AND find safe housing for MCS, it is extremely challenging and often next to impossible. Especially as most of us have lost our jobs as a result and have even harder time finding employment in a safe environment. These illnesses are recognized by some NATO alliance countries as disabilities and the United States is supposed to by default also recognize them as disabilities. Currently this is more in theory than in practice and so far nearly all public buildings are in violation of the American Disabilities Act by having public Wi-Fi routers and using toxic air borne chemicals. Most EHS and MCS sufferers are not able to get financial aid for their illnesses nor is there any recognized treatment or cure for the disability. There have to be safe places for people with these illnesses. Right now we are extremely marginalized. Many of us have lost friends and family and jobs and have gone to live in wilderness and rural out of the way places that are hard to get to and often hard to live in terms of harsh conditions. Many people with EHS and MCS die at their own hand, taking their own lives as they cannot face another day in a world that does not provide them with any respite from their afflictions. In a world where their illness is also disbelieved and ridiculed. Where they, we, are seen as collateral damage by the wireless communications industries. We are not the only ones suffering. Radio Frequencies are making the general public sicker with early onset dementia, hypertension and diabetes, Autism, brain tumors, varies forms of cancer. There is proof that these diseases can be and have been caused by excessive exposure to RFs in our modern day environment. Also wildlife is affected adversely. Bee colony collapse is on the rise and threatens our entire world’s food supply. Bees have been shown to become disoriented in the presence of cell towers, so having RFs from the air and reaching places that were previously untouched can and will have a negative impact on bee populations and any migratory species that becomes disoriented in the presence of Radio Frequencies. And more wildlife could be impacted. The fact is the long-term effects of EMR exposure from RFs is unknown.

Wireless industries think only of expansion and profit and have no concern about public safety and health of the people and all life of this planet. Please give a chance to those who need places to live away from RFs. We know we do NOT NEED cell phones or Wi-Fi. We live without it in peace every day and we all did before the technologies’ invention. It should not be something forced on everyone. By filling the airspace and landscape for every square mile with cell towers and Loon balloons you are not allowing the people to have a choice to participate in the technology or not. To be exposed or not. There is no choice. This is not a fair democratic scenario. It’s like allowing people to smoke in everyone’s homes and offices and outdoor air spaces. (Not just allowing them, but making people smoke, forcing cigarette smoke into everyone’s homes!) We understand now the devastating impact of second hand smoke on everyone’s health and currently have banned smoking from public indoor spaces as a result. The World Health Organization even recognizes RFs from cell phones, Wi-Fi, etc. as a class 2B carcinogen. It should be a choice the public has to be exposed to potential carcinogens or not. Currently in most cities and public spaces it is NOT a choice. And allowing project Loon to go forward would completely take that choice away from the citizens of this country.
