I
am
writing
to
voice
my
protest
against
the
Google
‘Project
Loon’
plans
to
provide

Wi-‐Fi
access
from
the
sky
via
balloons.

In
the
Spring
of
2014
I
was
diagnosed
with
‘Hyper
Electro
Sensitivity’
disorder
(or

EHS)
which
is
akin
to
‘Microwave
Sickness’
something
Radar
operators
as
early
as

the
1950s
became
afflicted
with
due
to
their
constant
exposure
to
high
levels
of

microwave
radiation
from
Radio
Frequencies
or
‘RF’s,
the
same
kinds
of
frequencies

and
radiation
emitted
by
today’s
wireless
devices
and
relay
antennae
stations
for

said
devices.

Since
2014
I
have
no
longer
been
able
to
use
a
cell
phone
or
any
wireless
device.
I

also
get
extreme
headaches
(and
migraines)
when
exposed
to
cell
towers
and
Wi-‐Fi

routers.
I
suffer
from
other
symptoms
including
dizziness,
brain
fog,
disorientation,

chest
pain
and
nausea.
These
symptoms
made
my
life
in
the
city
unbearable.
So
I

had
to
loose
my
business
in
order
to
move
to
a
rural
area
thousands
of
miles
away,

in
the
ONLY
place
I
could
find
in
this
country
free
from
RF
exposure.
One
of
the
few

remaining
‘dead
zones.’

It
is
in
my
new
environment
that
I
have
been
able
to
recover
some
of
my
health
and

begin
to
feel
like
a
normal
functioning
human
again.
I
am
occasionally
able
to

withstand
a
trip
to
town
but
still
have
to
suffer
some
of
the
same
symptoms
listed

above.
So
I
am
fortunate
that
I
have
a
partner
who
is
willing
and
able
to
go
to
town

for
groceries
etc.
We
are
30
miles
from
the
nearest
town
and
several
miles
from
the

nearest
cell
tower.
There
is
no
cell
reception
here
and
I
feel
great.

There
are
a
few
others
in
my
community
with
the
same
disorder
and
they
came
here

to
recover
as
well.

I
personally
know
dozens
of
others
with
EHS
who
are
suffering
and
trying
to
find

safe
housing.
There
are
reported
to
be
millions
of
sufferers
worldwide
with
the

numbers
increasing
daily
due
to
increasing
exposures
to
RFs.
I
believe
I
became
ill

because
my
body
reached
a
threshold
limit
with
the
exposure.
I
became
sick
and

began
to
have
EHS
symptoms
within
2
years
after
the
installation
of
smart
meters

on
my
building
and
after
using
a
‘smart’
phone.
Others
with
EHS
have
similar

stories.

There
is
plenty
of
scientific
evidence
that
exposures
to
RF’s
at
the
modern
day
level

is
not
healthy
for
anyone,
esp.
not
for
women
and
children
under
the
age
of
10.
And

for
people
with
EHS
it
is
debilitating
and
often
deadly.

Most
EHS
sufferers
also
have
MCS

(as
I
do),
Multiple
Chemical
Sensitivity
disorder.

So
finding
safe
housing
is
already
extra
challenging
when
you
have
to
consider

finding
housing
free
from
molds
and
chemicals
that
also
trigger
severe
allergic

reactions.
To
have
to
consider
EMFs,
especially
in
the
form
of
RFs
AND
find
safe

exposure
from
RFs
is
unknown.
Wireless
industries
think
only
of
expansion
and

profit
and
have
no
concern
about
public
safety
and
health
of
the
people
and
all
life
of

this
planet.

Please
give
a
chance
to
those
who
need
places
to
live
away
from
RFs.
We
know
we

do
NOT
NEED
cell
phones
or
Wi-‐Fi.
We
live
without
it
in
peace
every
day
and
we
all

did
before
the
technologies’
invention.
It
should
not
be
something
forced
on

everyone.
By
filling
the
airspace
and
landscape
for
every
square
mile
with
cell

towers
and
Loon
balloons
you
are
not
allowing
the
people
to
have
a
choice
to

participate
in
the
technology
or
not.
To
be
exposed
or
not.
There
is
no
choice.
This
is

not
a
fair
democratic
scenario.
It’s
like
allowing
people
to
smoke
in
everyone’s

homes
and
offices
and
outdoor
air
spaces.
(Not
just
allowing
them,
but
making

people
smoke,
forcing
cigarette
smoke
into
everyone’s
homes!)
We
understand
now

the
devastating
impact
of
second
hand
smoke
on
everyone’s
health
and
currently

have
banned
smoking
from
public
indoor
spaces
as
a
result.
The
World
Health

Organization
even
recognizes
RFs
from
cell
phones,
Wi-‐Fi,
etc.
as
a
class
2B

carcinogen.

It
should
be
a
choice
the
public
has
to
be
exposed
to
potential
carcinogens
or
not.

Currently
in
most
cities
and
public
spaces
it
is
NOT
a
choice.
And
allowing
project

Loon
to
go
forward
would
completely
take
that
choice
away
from
the
citizens
of
this

country.
