Google requests modification of Experimental License WF2XYY to allow it to continue research
and experimentation regarding fixed and mobile white space devices. Google seeks to modify its
authorization to include the geographic area between certain buildings on Google’s Mountain
View, California campus, to operate up to [REDACTED] transmitters, including up to
[REDACTED] fixed transmitters and [REDACTED] mobile transmitters. Base stations and
fixed devices will be located at the following locations: 1565 Charleston Rd, Mountain View,
CA (Google Building 46); 1950 Charleston Rd, Mountain View, CA (Google Building 1950);
1200 Crittenden Ln, Mountain View, CA (Google Building CL2); and 313 Fairchild Dr.,
Mountain View, CA (Google Building FRC1). [REDACTED]

In addition to the transmitting equipment described in this application, Google may test
additional transmitting equipment in the same device category, including both additional models
from the vendors identified and models from other vendors, and, if so, will request modification

of its authorization with the requisite information about the equipment. The number of devices
of each equipment model will vary from time to time during testing, but the total number of base
stations and user devices will not exceed the limits described above.

Google will not transmit on any spectrum licensed for incumbent broadcast television operations,
and operations will be performed in accord with the frequency requirements, power limits,
antenna requirements, emission limits, and interference avoidance methods adopted by the
Commission in Unlicensed Operations in the TV Broadcast Bands, ET Dkt. 04-186, Second
Report and Order and Memorandum Opinion and Order, 23 FCC Rcd. 16807 (2008), and Second
Memorandum Opinion and Order, 25 FCC Rcd. 18661 (2010).
