Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Globecomm systems, Inc. requests filing of a (STA) Special Temporary Authority for a terrestrial wireless system product to be tested in the frequency range from 2641.5 to 2651.5 MHz at reduced transmit EIRP levels and coverage area. The reason for the STA is to provide live trials to interested users for entertainment applications for the general public, as well as education, and homeland security. GSI must start preliminary testing on November 1st, 2006, and is requesting a 6 month experimental license.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Demonstration of terrestrail wireless equipment to interested parties for entertainment, education and security purposes. The system trials and demonstrations will allow investigation of network coverage, modulation schemes, and technology that could possibly entertain, educate, or even protect the general public.
