Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Globecomm Systems, Inc. (GSI) hereby requests Special Temporary Authorization for a live demonstration for the Department of Homeland Security at the Special Operations Commands Advance Planning & Briefing to Industry during the week of June 5, 2005 and at the NAVAIR Special Communications requirements Branch in May or June, 2005. GSI will be demonstrating its line of lightweight transportable Ku band satellite communications terminals. GSI requests that the STA be granted for a period of ninety (90) days to allow it to participate in the upcoming demonstrations.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Demonstration of lightweight transportable Ku band satellite communications terminals to Emergency Response and Homeland Security Organizations.
