Message:

In response to questions regarding application 0238-EX-ST-2002, filed by Globalstar, L.P., for
an STA for test/demonstration of equipment associated with an ancillary terrestrial component
of a Mobile Satellite Service system.

The portable base stations transmit at 2483.5-2500 MHz. The mobile phone units transmit at
1610-1621.35 MHz.

Center coordinates were provided for three test areas, Washington, DC, New York, NY, and San
Jose, CA. The base and mobile stations would be operated within 40 kilometers of the specified
coordinates. This was explained in the parallel experimental license application (0104-EX-PL-
2002).

Three specific locations within those test areas are planned for the demonstrations which are the
subject of the STA:

In Washington, DC, Crowell & Moring LLP, 1001 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW 20004 (38-53-
40.2 N; 77-1-34.0 W);

In New York, NY, Tavern on the Green, Central Park at West 67th Street 10023, (40-46-22.5 N;
73-58-43.0 W);

In San Jose, CA, Globalstar, L.P, 3200 Zanker Road 95134 (37-24-35.8 N; 121-55-54.5 W).

The base and mobile transmitters would be operated at these locations for the demonstration.
The base station would be fixed during the demonstration. The phone unit would be mobile.
