Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The Georgia Tech Research Corporation is working with the National RCS Test Facility (NRTF) under the U.S. Air Force's 781st Test Squadron to prototype, demonstrate, and deliver a high power measurement array for range measurements. GTRI has completed preliminary design work on previous contracts and is working on this effort to complete design efforts, develop and fabricate prototype hardware, demonstrate hardware, and deliver prototypes to NRTF.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To prototype, demonstrate, and deliver a high power measurement array for range measurements. The applicant seeks a STA for the purpose of determining whether reflections or voltage breakdown at the antenna will create catastrophic internal failures once the system is turned on at full power. GTRI does not have an internal location in which the system can be fully assembled and turned on at full power and therefore requires a temporary experimental license to radiate before delivery to the U.S. Government.
