General Dynamics Florence Radio Data
The program is in support of next generation Army communications which include MANET
(Mobile Adhoc NETworking) radios. The goal of our program is to perform lab data throughput
and voice sensitivity tests, then perform Over- The-Air (OTA) testing to support determination of
real-world range expectations versus lab conditions.

Range Test Area
Test Scenario: The equipment will be transported in vehicles and driven to the test area shown in
the map below. One vehicle will park along the route and the remaining vehicles will drive to
various places along the route and stop to verify radio range performance. Testing could be either
voice or data. Individuals may leave the vehicles and proceed on foot as a part of the testing

Location: Lat 33° 8'5.62"N Lon 111°21'47.51"W
Radius: 5 miles
Number of Radios: Between 2 and 6
Number of Testers: Between 2 and 6
Test Period: 4/15/19 thru 6/15/19 (Start pending license and National Guard approval)
Test Duration: several instances over the test period (depends on Florence National Guard range
availability for other aspects of program testing). Testing will have a duration of 6 hours in a day.
