Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
To demonstrate the capability to acquire, track and transfer full-duplex information at up to a T1 bandwidth utilizing Iridium Low Earth Orbiting satellites for the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency under the SPARCS program.
Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Testing and demonstration to customers of experimental equipment at multiple sites utilizing the Iridium LEO satellites. Demonstration testing will only occur at any two (2) of the listed sites simultaneously due to the limited number of demo systems available. In support of this application, Iridium has sent a letter to Scott Kotler (International Bureau) requesting initiation of coordination with the US Government Agencies which have frequency band overlap with General Dynamics planned experimental operations using Ka-Band receive frequencies.
