IIJTIA certify Stage 4 spectrum support for the General Dynamics AN/PRC-112B/B1/G VHF/UHF Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) Transceiver as specified in Section 1, noting that the system characterized in SPS­ 16425/1 is backwards compatible with the AN/PRC-112 and AN/PRC-112B/B1 radios. 2. Air Force be aware that this system operates under provisions of the NTIA Manual Section 5.1.2 because six emission designators (600HG1D, 2KOOG1D, 2K80G1D, 3K21A2A, 7KOOA3E and 450KD1D), having wide emission bandwidths at -20 dB and/or -40 dB levels, do not comply with the standard of fundamental level specified in Subsection 5.2.2.2 of the NTIA Manual. 3. Air Force ensure that this system will not be reprogrammed by operators in the field (e.g., to transmit in bands other than those specified in Section 1 of this certification without NTIA approval). This office concurs with the SPS recommendations in Section 3. Furthermore, this office advises the Air Force that it may be necessary to provide additional information concerning the antenna characteristics when requesting frequency assignments for the subject system through the Frequency Assignment SUbcommittee process.
