The system operates in 3GPP Band Class 14. The system will be designed such that the operation and radiation are limited within the perimeter of Fort Dix Though individual tests typically only last several days or weeks, the reason for applying for a 24-month duration experimental license rather than multiple STA is to facilitate on-going demonstrations with various user groups at short-notice. General Dynamics is the manufacturer of end-to-end 3GPP compliant LTE equipment including user equipment, eNodeB (3GPP terminology for base stations), and Evolved Packet Core (EPC). The system configuration will be comprised of mobile user equipment as well as a transportable and rapidly deployable eNodeB configuration. The system included in this application is capable of operating across the public safety 700MHz band in the United States (termed band class 14 in 3GPP) in both 5MHz and 10MHz bandwidths.
