CONFIDENTIALITY REQUEST CONTAINED WITHIN Federal Communications Commission Experimental Licensing Branch 445 12th Street, SW Washington, DC 20554 Re: Special Temporary Authorization Application (File Number: 0390-EX-ST-2012) Dear Sir/Madam: General Dynamics C4 Systems, 8201 E. McDowell Rd, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257 herein submits this confidentiality request for the equipment portion of the STA application, under File Number 0390-EX-ST- 2012, which is contained in “Exhibit A” (STA attachment). The equipment information in the STA application also refers to “Exhibit A”. General Dynamics C4 Systems requests, pursuant to 47 CFR 0.459, that the equipment information be withheld from public inspection under the following conditions: a) 0.459(b)(1): The actual transmitting equipment to be used for demonstration/testing. b) 0.459(b)(2): To protect our technical solution to a competitive procurement to a US Government acquisition. c) 0.459(b)(3): The GDC4S technical solution is based on commercially available equipment. d) 0.459(b)(4): The confidentiality of this information is necessary to protect our technical solution to a competitive procurement to a US Government acquisition. e) 0.459(b)(5): The release of specific vendor and equipment information would result in significant harm to our competitive position in this acquisition. f) 0.459(b)(6): GDC4S has omitted the actual vendor/equipment information from the application and is only available to a select group of people on a need to know basis. g) 0.459(b)(7): This is GD Proprietary Information only as associated with this particular demonstration/testing in support of specific US Government contract pursuits. h) 0.459(b)(8): GD Proprietary Information is not available to the public indefinitely. i) 0.459(b)(9): To reiterate, the release of this information would result in significant harm to our competitive position and provide a significant advantage to competitors.
