On August 21, 2006, the FCC requested information with respect to a pending request filed by
General Dynamics-Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) for special temporary authority for
a transmit/receive earth station, File No. 0593-EX-ST-2006. On August 29, 2006, GDAIS
provided information in response to the August 21, 2006 request.

On August 29, 2006, the FCC requested further information as to whether the proposed request
for special temporary authority complies with Part 25 of the Commission''s Rules. Although
GDAIS believes that the proposed request does compy with Part 25, out of an abundance of
caution, the engineers for GDAIS are reviewing the proposal thoroughly to make sure that it
does indeed comply. GDAIS therefore respectfully requests an extension of 30 days in which to
submit a complete response to the August 29, 2006 FCC request.
