1. The aircraft will not be transmitting RF. RF will only be transmitted from a ground station. The
planned coordinates of the ground station locations are N32-48-50 / W117-08-33 during ground testing
and N33-04-27 / W116-37-37 during flight test (aircraft being receive-only).
2. See #1.
3. No, the transmissions of the ground station data aren’t licensed. That’s the
purpose of this STA application – to gain authorization to transmit sonobuoy data from a
ground-based test platform. My apologies for not being clear on that part. The aircraft relay will be
performed by a licensed data link.
4. On a separate note, in response to Ref. 36453, we can eliminate frequency 136.750 MHz from
the request. Do I do that by modifying the application?
