Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This application is necessary for General Atomics Aeronautical to collect data that is useful for designing radars in the VHF-UHF band. The data will be analyzed and used to improve GA-ASI equipment design

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Collection of data that is useful for designing radars in the VHF-UHF band. General Atomics Aeronautical will use its described equipment in a fixed ground location to collect data pertaining to different targets, clutter conditions, weather, etc. For the 6 month period, 10 operations are anticipated each lasting 1 to 4 hours.
