This experimental license is necessary for the fulfillment of a U.S. Government contract.
The contract is through the Government Agency US Army Space and Missile Defense
Command, Contract Number W9113M-06-C-0167.

GATR Technologies is developing a deployable satellite terminal for remote broadcasts
under the subject contract. The effort is focused on the use of a patented inflatable
antenna technology being developed and field tested. The inflatable antenna has been
characterized in range tests in far field and near field antenna ranges. Satellites utilized
are commercial Ku-Band and C-Band systems.

The use of the antennas under this contract requires the use and characterization of the
antennas/communication system. The technical effort under this contract includes the
optimization of the complete RF system and demonstration of the system under a variety
of IP and Direct Broadcast modes from various locations throughout the U.S.
