Fujitsu Network Communications LS 100 FEMTO Cell Lab Trial The exhibit will be used in the Fujitsu product wireless lab environment for preliminary testing and trialing of feature functionality on pre-production Femtocell product. This lab environment is necessary to ensure wireless communication/features of the Femtocell with end user devices (e.g. tablets, cell phones) and network controllers and servers. The Femtocell is an indoor base station that provides high-quality wireless access in residential settings. The Femtocell supports plug-and-play functionality which enables automatic installation when the unit is connected to a network, such as this lab environment. It supports EAP-AKA authentication via connection to the core network. The Femtocell uses a cognitive and learning mechanism which can directly measure interference or analyze the interference situation via user device feedback and make intelligent decisions on radio frequency resource allocations. The Femtocell makes multiple measurements and learns the current interference situation on the downlink and uplink then the RF resources is allocated to maximize capacity and minimize interference. The testing and verification of these features for Fujitsu’s 4G LTE Femtocell is the purpose of this experimental lab environment.
