Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Fortem Technologies has developed Detect and Avoid (DAA) radar system which operate in the Aeronautical Radionavigation(15.4-15.7GHz) band. For DAA UAS operations the Radar system only obstacles and objects in the field of view and does not attempt to jam any UASs. This STA is necessary to support work we are currently doing for AFRL and DARPA contracts on drone technology, work with NASA on drone detect and avoid, and additional work on drones we are proposing to the US DoD (Air Force and Army).
