Subject: Request for Info - File # 1534-EX-ST-2016
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Message:

Below is IB comments, please submit all the information as their requests:

"Form 442 contains output power levels of 7.9 Watt and 3.2 Watt for the 27.5-29.7 GHz band and 7.9
Watt for 18-20 GHz band; however, exhibit document contains Peak EIRP value of 49 dBW (equals
48,417 Watt ERP) for 18-20 GHz and two EIRP values of 35 dBW (equal to 1928 Watt ERP) & 38 dBW
(equal to 3846 Watt ERP) for the 27.5-29.7 GHz band. We request to include all the ERP values in the
Form 442.

Giving these ERP values, our analysis shows a high potential of harmful interference to GSO satellites
operating in the 27.5-29.7 GHz band and receiving earth stations in the 18-20 GHz band. We require
additional detail information to finalize our study.

We note that the exhibit document state airborne operations (communication payload forward link
aircraft-to-ground and communication payload return link ground-to-aircraft) which is not part of this
experimental request. Applicant confirm if any of the antennas will be on an aircraft.

For all the antennas on rooftop provide the altitude for each antenna and the specific direction each
antenna will be pointing (azimuth angle, elevation angle).

For all the antenna on the ground provide the altitude of each antenna from the ground and specific
direction each antenna will be pointing (azimuth angle, elevation angle).

Please provide which frequency band(s) will be going towards the rooftop and which one will be going
towards the ground.

We calculate the worst-case power flux density value using the peak eirp value for the 18-20 GHz band
and note that the experimental pfd exceed the ITU Article 21 PFD limit (-105 dB(W/m^2) by 26.5 dB from
nearby earth stations receiving in this band."

The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced
application. Failure to provide the requested information within 30 days of November 10, 2016 may result
in application dismissal pursuant to Section 5.67 and forfeiture of the filing fee pursuant to Section
1.1108.
