Thanks! I take it that you recommend grant of the application. I agree with
you. Go ahead and make the grant. Thanks again, CJ

Mr. Iseman,

Based upon feedback that I've received from Mr. Burtle on previous nationwide
reviews, I would say that this renewal does not seem to be a reason for major
concern. The quantity of equipment they are using is only 37. There are no
market study requests. There doesn't seem to be any interference problems
associated with their previous use of this license. They estimate five more
years for their research into geophysical hydrocarbon location. It appears
that there will eventually be some closure to this experiment as opposed to an
attempt to establish a service during the next five years. We can review this
license again in two years upon its next renewal to see if it is posing a
problem at that time since they have only asked for a two-year license and not
a five-year license.

           John

thanks for the update - what's your take on the merits of whether they should
receive a nat'l license? thx, Charles

Mr. Iseman,

I started this nationwide review with Mr. Burtle last week. He asked me to
get more detailed information from Exxon Comm Co about their need for a
nationwide license. I've attached their responses-to-date for your review.
