      RE: Ericsson STA Application 0379-EX-ST-2007

Dear Mr. Keltz:

Please be advised that Ericsson wishes to modify the above referenced STA Application
to:1) change the start date of experimental operations from October 15, 2007 to October 1, 2007;
and 2) attach the following conditions to its experimental operations:

      • Ericsson shall establish a 24/7 stop buzzer hotline so that entities experiencing
interference can have transmissions immediately stopped. The stop buzzer will be
activated through the Cincinnati Bell Wireless 24-hour Network Operations Center
(NOC). The NOC contact number is (513) 566-3100.
      • Ericsson shall provide a test plan schedule that shows the location of testing by day to
the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security.
      • Ericsson shall provide its test plan schedule at least 4 days in advance to:
                     Carolyn.j.thomas@usdoj.gov
                     Julio.A.Laguardia@usdoy.gov
                     Ross.merlin@dhs.gov
                     David.Campbell2@dhs.gov
                     Pat.Dibari@dhs.gov
      • Ericsson shall directly coordinate its experimental operations with the local BAS
frequency coordinator and with potentially affected BAS licensees.

As to the last condition, Ericsson is already in communication with the BAS licensee with
operations adjacent to 2110MHz. We are working cooperatively to evaluate and mitigate any
interference issues. Ericsson is committed to ensuring that its experimental operations do not
cause harmful interference to either BAS or any government users. If you have any questions,
please contact me.

                                         Sincerely,

                                         Allison M. Ellis, Esq.
