Hi John. I have finally heard back from the folks returning from Barcelona MWC and below is
what I have as a further description of the demonstration. Please let me know if this is
sufficiently detailed for you and I’ll add it to the application. Thanks. A

Ericsson will be demonstrating ABIS over IP at the Satellite show. ABIS is the link between
the base station and the core network which allows for the transmission of all control
information. Generally, Ericsson intends to demonstrate how remote connections can be
achieved. Ericsson will use a GSM base station and show that a GSM call can be connected
over IP back to the core. Ericsson will not actually link with a satellite but rather will simulate a
satellite connection using an IP connection as a satellite proxy.

What is the point-of-communication (the name of the satellite or satellites)?

No. The demo is for government folks attending the satellite show. The two frequencies are
for an Uplink (1855) and downlink (1810) pairing. A

I received your changes. One more question. Since 1810.2 MHz is being used for demonstrations to potential
Government customers, is the 1855.2 MHz being used for demonstrations to potential non-government
customers?

Hi John. Got your message. Thanks for the call. Yes, the customers are “government
customers” so I'll make that change right now in the filing. Let me know if you need anything
else. A
