Room 7322 Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: Application of EastWest Communications, Inc. for an Experimental Radio Authorization Dear Mr. Wright: Submitted herewith on behalf of our client, EastWest Communications, Inc., is an application for Authorization to Operate an Experimental Radio Station under Part 5 of the Rules of the Federal Communications Commission. EastWest wishes to conduct experiments to determine the technical feasibility and economic viability of providing very limited area coverage to attendees at special events such as sports competitions, conventions, etc. You will note from the enclosed application that EastWest wishes to conduct these experiments using presently available radio broadcasting equipment. EastWest intends to use frequencies within the normal AM and FM broadcast bands so that the signal will be able to be received on commercially available radio receivers. However, the reception area will be extremely limited and the service is not intended for reception by the general public. /oxé
