enable it to demonstrate fixed and mobile radio equipment at various locations in the United
States. Most of the equipment demonstrated is off-the-shelf land mobile radio equipment that
has been approved by the FCC.

And other emissions designators are permitted in the FCC’s rules,
such as narrowband emissions designators employed for the
frequency bands below 512 MHz.
